- Studies have shown folic acid helps prevent spina bifida and other neural tube defects. Taking daily folic acid can help to reduce the risk of having a baby with spina bifida by 70%.
- This product should be taken at least 14 weeks before becoming pregnant and should be taken for at least the first 12 weeks of pregnancy.
- Take one tablet (0.4 mg) daily.
- The tablets should be swallowed with water.
If you are planning a pregnancy you should begin taking Clonfolic at least 14 weeks before you become pregnant and continue taking it for at least the first 12 weeks of pregnancy.
