A valid prescription is required before we supply any prescription medications. For tablets & capsules, a one month supply is 28 days. All of our prices are for generic versions of the medications listed. For branded products, please contact us for prices.

What are the symptoms of Breast Cancer?

Breast Cancer Treatments 

The best treatment for you will depend on

• • The size and grade of your tumour
  • The type of breast you have
  • What proteins/hormone receptors are on your cancer cells
  • If the cancer has spread

Option 1: Surgery

Breast-Conserving Surgery – Surgery during which the part of the breast containing the tumour is removed

Mastectomy – Surgery where the whole breast is removed

Option 2: Radiotherapy

External Radiotherapy – Uses high energy rays to kill the cancer cells. It can be given instead of surgery or after surgery

Internal Radiotherapy – The radiation source is placed in or near your tumour for a very short time to kill the cancer cells.

Option 3: Systemic Therapy

Oral Medications – Taken over the course of 5 years. Depending on the type of medication it will either block the effect of estrogen or stop the body making estrogen.

Chemotherapy – A treatment using drugs to kill cancer cells given by IV infusion.

Your prescription

To start using Healthwave for prescriptions we’ll need your prescription sent to us. Prescriptions can now be sent electronically by your hospital, GP or online doctor.

Doctors and pharmacies now use a system called Healthmail to exchange prescriptions digitally.

Creating your order

If you have a prescription with us, the quickest way to place an order is to use our digital assistant. The assistant will collect your details for our pharmacists to review. Our pharmacists will contact you and arrange delivery. You will then receive a payment link where you can securely pay online.

Nationwide Delivery

We deliver to all addresses in The Republic of Ireland, to both home and work/office locations. Once we have your prescription from your GP, your medications will be checked by our pharmacists and dispatched for delivery in 1-2 days. We cannot ship prescription medications outside of Ireland due to regulations.

Discrete Packaging All medication orders are sent in discreet packaging without any Healthwave branding on the outside. We also use specialised cold-chain packaging for fridge items.

Please note our company name “Healthwave LTD” and return address will be printed in small text on any shipping labels attached to your package. This is required by delivery services and pharmacy regulations to ensure your medication can be safely returned to us if undeliverable.
