Electrosal Rehydration Sachets are an oral rehydration therapy containing a balanced combination of electrolytes which include glucose, sodium chloride, potassium chloride and disodium hydrogen citrate. It is recommended for the replacement of essential water and salt loss which can happen for various reasons including when you have diarrhoea.

Adults: Take one or two sachets to maintain hydration.

Children over 2 years (20 - 40ml/kg): Give one sachet to maintain hydration.

Dissolve t sachet in 200ml of pre-boiled lukewarm water and stir thoroughly.

Cool the solution before serving (cooler solution is better tolerated).

Do not sweeten the solution.

Do not take more than 3 sachets (for children) and 6 sachets (for adults) in a 24 hour period.
