Infants and children (teething)
Bonjela Gel can be used to soothe the pain and discomfort of teething in babies from 4 months of age.

Gently massage a small, pea-sized amount of gel onto the sore area of the gum with a clean finger.

The gel helps to ease pain, reduce redness and support healing.
Mouth ulcers and cold sores
Bonjela Gel can be used by adults and children for common mouth ulcers and cold sores on the lips.

Apply the gel directly to the sore area with a clean finger.

It helps to relieve pain, reduce inflammation and support healing.
Sore spots from dentures or braces
Bonjela Gel can also be used for painful sore spots under dentures (adults) or from orthodontic devices (children and teenagers).

Apply the gel to the sore area inside the mouth.

If you are using dentures, leave at least 30 minutes after applying the gel before putting your dentures back in.

In children under 4 months of age

If you or your child are allergic to salicylates or any of the ingredients

If you or your child are taking aspirin or other salicylate-containing medicines

If you or your child have a history of recurrent stomach ulcers

In children or teenagers who have chickenpox or flu-like symptoms

On large areas of the mouth or on severely broken or infected skin
If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have other medical conditions or are taking other medicines, speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using Bonjela Gel.
